Milton Keynes College photography students collaborate with ID Medical to support prestigious award entry

Jan 24, 2014.

Students enrolled on the L3 BTEC National Diploma in photography at Milton Keynes College have teamed up with industry award-winning Milton-Keynes based healthcare recruiter ID Medical to support its entry into the prestigious Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2014 and to promote the college itself.

Aiming to be a finalist as the ‘Best Recruitment Agency Marketing Team’ in this year’s Recruiter Awards, ID Medical’s head of marketing and CSR ambassador Caryn Cooper called upon the expertise of Milton Keynes College photography students and briefed the project to Programme Manager for Creative & Visual Arts, Antonio Longo and students, Jade King and Francesca Schembre who were the main project leaders on the day of the photo shoot.

The marketing department at ID Medical required a creative concept that would help communicate to the judging panel the team’s capabilities, personalities and roles in the most aesthetic way. As a leading provider of employability programmes and highly regarded creative courses, Milton Keynes College was the clear choice.

ID Medical’s head of marketing and CSR ambassador Caryn Cooper commented, “As a marketing department in a most competitive industry it’s vital to think outside the box and we wanted to adopt a creative yet socially enterprising approach to the requirements of the award entry.

“As an alternative to using internal resources, which we do for most of our marketing activities, we wanted to work with the passionate students of Milton Keynes College, to provide them with an opportunity to engage in real-life project work that directly enhances their student experience and future employability. We looked to the students as professional consultants as they were just that – professional.

“Our CSR mission, to give something back, not only applies to NHS Trusts and national fundraising campaigns, but also to our local community in and around the vibrant city of Milton Keynes and we were delighted that Milton Keynes College took on this project with great passion and enthusiasm. We hope to work with them on future projects.”

Antonio Longo, Programme Manager for Creative & Visual Arts at MK College added, “Milton Keynes College is dedicated and driven by our values to inspire our students to be innovative and create excellent work to showcase their employability skills in today’s workplace. The Photographic Department welcomes the opportunity for both local and national organisations to work with our students to produce high quality and creative works which can be used for publicity and corporate branding purposes. It was a pleasure to work with the ID Medical team and make their exciting brief come to life.”

Open to all marketing teams from all recruitment, executive search and interim management firms from across the UK, the ‘Best Recruitment Agency Marketing Team’ award will be presented to the in-house recruitment agency marketing team achieving the most stand-out accomplishment, or accomplishments, of the year aligned to the agency’s overall business strategy. The photography delivered by the students at MK College will support ID Medical’s written entry.
