Forming part of its strategic partnership approach, the paediatrics team at ID Medical has launched its support of Milton Keynes Hospital’s ‘Leo’s Appeal’, with a cake sale fundraiser at the company’s headquarters in Wolverton, Milton Keynes on Monday 23rd September 2013.

Leo the Lion, the mascot of Leo’s Appeal, which was designed by a patient on the Milton Keynes Hospital’s children’s ward, visited ID Medical along with Jenny Howells, fundraising officer, to meet all employees. Homemade cakes were brought in to sell for a minimum donation of £1 and in total; ID Medical raised £169.09 for ‘Leo’s Appeal’.

‘Leo’s Appeal’ is hoping to raise £200,000 over the next 18 months to enhance children’s services at Milton Keynes Hospital, and brighten the time spent in hospitals for babies, children and their families.

Adopting an indigenous internal talent approach, ID Medical works in marketing partnerships with trusts which, through tried and tested marketing tactics, promotes partnering Trusts’ facilities, quality and patient safety and care, and of course the Trust itself; throughout the internal and external community, the Trust’s geographic locale and beyond. It does this by leading the investment of marketing strategies and tactics through mutual promotions – through multi channels with jointly branded measures.

Sanjay Makwana, paediatrics team manager at ID Medical commented, ‘I am pleased that the paediatric team at ID Medical can be a part of ‘Leo’s Appeal’. Together we can help Milton Keynes Hospital reach its fundraising goals and ensure that every child admitted to the hospital, receives the best care possible.

I hope that this is just the beginning of a great relationship with the hospital and we look forward to many more fundraising activities in the near future.”
