ID Medical Help Fundraising for Wear it Blue Day

On Friday 1^st May, ID Medical joined local schools, businesses and hospital staff to take part in Wear it Blue day for Leo’s Appeal; an appeal organised by Milton Keynes Hospital Charity and raised £641.86.

For the second year running, ID Medical invited its entire workforce to wear something blue to work and donate a minimum of £2. What’s more, Leo the lion, the charity’s very own popular mascot, visited staff at ID Medical’s headquarters to raise awareness for the charity in the local area.

ID Medical has been supporting Leo’s Appeal since its launch back in September 2013 and is proud to be a participating member of #TeamLeo.

Through various fundraising activities ID Medical has now contributed £3200.36 to Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s ultimate goal of raising £200,000 to enhance children’s services at Milton Keynes Hospital.

What does Milton Keynes Hospital Charity do?

Milton Keynes Hospital Charity raises funds for all wards to enhance the experience of patients and families. All the money raised funds items over and above NHS provision.

How can you make a real difference to local people when they need it most?

• £50 could buy new books or toys for children admitted to hospital.
• £100 could buy a shower chair for young and fragile patients to use.
• £800 could buy a wheelchair for patients to use about the hospital.
