Team ID Medical Raises £703 BBC Children in Need

Nov 17, 2015.

On Friday 13 November ID Medical, the UK’s leading medical recruiter, joined the nation in supporting Children in Need, raising an incredible £703 to help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK, with a special visit from the campaign’s iconic mascot, Pudsey.

ID Medical supported the annual campaign with a company ‘dress down’ day, where staff left their suits at home and donated a minimum of £2 each. In addition, the medical recruiter adopted a youthful fundraising approach with a classic game of ‘Guess how many sweets in the jar’, where staff donated £1 per guess for the chance to win the jar of treats.
As a true advocate of corporate social responsibility, ID Medical is committed to upholding its organisation-wide culture of supporting its client NHS trusts, charities and local communities through a number of different initiatives and activities. It’s about giving back, supporting the community and caring for the world by ensuring the business is environmentally sensitive. With almost £19,000 donated to charities in the past two years, ID Medical is on the right track to achieve its fundraising target of £20,000 by the end of 2015.

To date the UK’s corporate charity, Children in Need has had phenomenal support from schools, organisations and individuals across the UK and raised over £740 million. This has enabled Children in Need to make grants to voluntary groups, community projects and registered charities who offer practical lasting support to children and young people to ensure they have a childhood that is safe, happy and secure and allows them the chance to reach their own potential.

  • £40 helps a boy with Down’s Syndrome who lacks confidence with his speech to find his voice and talk to people beyond his immediate family

The BBC’s on-the-night total of £37.1 million broke an astonishing fundraising record, raising £4.5m more than the previous high of £32.6 million and ID Medical is proud to add to this total with its £703 donation.
