Business Networking (and a Lion’s breakfast!) with Milton Keynes Hospital

Today, 13 March 2015, ID Medical attended Milton Keynes Hospital Charity’s first ever business networking breakfast hosted by the Doubletree by Hilton at stadium:mk, which raised £500 in total for the charity.

More than 50 people attended the event from business and organisations within the Milton Keynes community, plus Mark Lancaster MP as guest speaker.

ID Medical, which supplies healthcare professionals to the hospital, has been a proud supporter of the charity since 2013 and this year in 2015, has launched its official corporate CSR programme with Milton Keynes Hospital Charity being its ‘Charity of the Year’.

Kicking off its fundraising programme, ID Medical recently entered a team into the MK Festival of Running, with 14 of its employees running the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon for Milton Keynes Hospital Charity. Each team member was tasked with raising as much money as possible to be crowned ‘Top Fundraiser’ (Kat, recruitment consultant at ID Medical is pictured with her certificate and Centre:MK vouchers).

In total, ID Medical raised £1,025 for the charity which means the organisation has procured its first bed for parents staying overnight with their children on the children’s ward. The cheque was presented to Vanessa Holmes, head of communications and fundraising at Milton Keynes Hospital, alongside Mark Lancaster MP at the business breakfast by director of ID Medical, David Newton.
