ID Medical raises £380 for Jeans for Genes Day

Sep 22, 2014.

On Friday 19th September, ID Medical donned the denim once again and raised a phenomenal total of £380 on Jeans for Genes Day 2014 for Genetic Disorders UK.

A key date in ID Medical’s CSR calendar, this event encourages all staff to hang up their suit trousers for the day, and wear their best jeans to work whilst making a minimum donation of £2 for the worthy cause. ID Medical’s infamous power-up routine had a special part to play in the day and didn’t fail to lift spirits for the denim–clad crew. Last year, ID Medical took part in Jeans for Genes Day and the total sum of their charitable donations for medical related charities was £4,902.41.

Jeans for Genes Day is an annual fundraising event which raises money for Genetic Disorders UK, the charity that aims to transform the lives of children with genetic disorders. With genetic disorders affecting more than 30,000 babies born each year (1 in 25 children in the UK), their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest cause of death of children aged 14 and under.

ID Medical places Corporate Social Responsibility at the heart of everything it does as a business and is integral to its brand make-up. Jeans for Genes Day is one of the many spirit-lifting internal health-related fundraising events which gives ID Medical the chance to come together to truly make a difference in the healthcare industry.
